Not exactly the most flattering photo of Hanna and I, but it's the only one I have ATM of us in our Halloween costumes! Hanna was a Goth (and looked smashing in my Freshman prom outfit) whilst I was a dead princess (in my other beloved Fred Flare Britney wig!). I very nearly wore this HUGE pink dress that I bought at this store called "Junk" in NYC (downstairs from Buffalo Exchange). It was a bit rather too small (I bought it Sophomore year and haven't worn it since), which was a pity, because, had I worn it, I would have had an almost 100% Brooklyn costume (dress + FF wig!). Shucks.

I adore this dress that Heather bought me for camp, though, so that was OK. Plus it is super-comfortable, which is a MAJOR plus when you are tromping about in it all night.

I have decided that I am super good at making myself look inside-dead, but not so much outside-in-the-dark dead. Which is weird because I'm less-than subtle at normal makeup (hey, I never learnt properly), but when I'm layering on the purple and pink and brown and yellow and green and white and making shadows and stuff I am loathe to go "overboard," even when "overboard" is exactly what is needed. ::sigh:: It still looked OK, though, I reckon!

We had a super-fun time trick-or-treating, and got heaps of candy, even though we didn't go the whole route! ::loves candy:: When we were driving around (yes, you have to drive to go trick-or-treating here) there were gazillions of pumpkins smashed in the road, which made me really glad that we live off the main road, so my lovingly carved (ha! you shoulda seen me hacking at that thing...pumpkin carving is so not my talent) jack o' lantern was safe.

Yep, I'm all about the traditional face. Eeew I just realized that you can already see the mold in that picture. You should see it now, it's truly horrendous. Almost as horrendous as my roots...omg. Never fear, my dye should be arriving soon, I have a 4 day weekend starting tomorrow, so by this time next week at the absolute latest I shall be flaunting ultra-violet locks. I hope. ::crosses fingers::

...because there is already candy filling the aisles. I snuck a bag of candy corn into our cart at the supermarket and even when my mom saw it she let it go. Everyone loves Halloween. I think my favourite of the seasonal candies are candy corn...I especially love doing the above with them, as it is a double appropriate, doing something Halloween-themed with something Halloween-themed. It may be proof of my immaturity that, not only did I conceive of and take this picture, and post it here, but it cracks me up every time I see it. Niiiiice. And no, I didn't eat it afterward. Don't be disgusting.
