It's the 8th day of Tokio Hotel's vacation.
I have a $50 gift certificate to Fred Flare that is burning a hole in my pocket.
My brother is home for Christmas.
I got a haircut yesterday.
I'm all done with finals.
And I have something new to vote for.

Life is pretty darn good right about now.

This is what my hair looks like now:

It's kind of big, but that's OK, and partly because it's filled with spray wax and mousse, thanks to Hanna & Julia's enthusiastic hairdo help. I took in this picture of Bill K as my example, and H & I let it slide when the lovely haircut lady referred to him as "she."  I think she did a smashing job, especially because my hair is überthin and highly uncoöperative. I suspect it will look even better after it (a) has calmed down a bit, and (b) I have annihilated the awful  colour with lovely black and purple. FTW!

The Tokio Hotel vacation thing...they have a month off (starting the day after my birthday) where they don't have to do anything. No concerts, no interviews, no awards, no nothin'. Just relaxin' and bein' with the family and friends. This is probably my favourite thing ever, as they have been working way too hard, and Bill especially was starting to look mighty in need of a break. Charlotte's momma bear instincts were coming out in a big way, so the fact that they are all on vacation and I haven't seen hide nor hair of them in over a week is just about my favourite thing ever right now. Just ask anyone I know; it's nearly all I can talk about. :D

The FF gift certificate (18th birthday gift from the 'rents!) I am just tickled to death about, though a tiny bit distressed, because this means that I actually have to chose something! I was going to pitch in an additional 20 bucks and get the NYC Subway hoodie, because I've been in UNF UNF UNF mad love with that since it came out. Unfortch, they're all out of anything that would fit me, so that choice is outta thurr. And shucks, they're out of the composition notebook duffel as well, which I have been all googly-eyed over for months. -sigh- I guess I have some shopping to do!

And you remember my brother, right? He's home nau, all long-haired (ish, not too bad) and lanky. And inhaling everything in our house that is edible.

Hmm...yes, finals are over! The semester is finally over! We'll see exactly how badly I did when grades come in, but for now I'm not worrying. Ha.

The only thing that has been seriously raining on my parade is that Amazon has been zoopear failing at shipping my my freakin' copies of Scream America!, which is Tokio Hotel's first! Official! US single! (The Hot Topic EP didn't count, I guess). Watch the video (in Englisch) that the band made about it. But yeah, I ordered mine ages ago, they were shipped to arrive on the release date (11 December), but, because Amazon sucks, they shipped it in USPS to an address that doesn't get mail. After much fighting they shipped me another order, by USPS, to the same address. So I am trying again (after upping my order from 13 to 20 copies). Hopefully this will work.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go test my voting-whilst-sleeping-and-dreaming-about-vacationing-German-boys skills.
